Scientific Employee Specialist Unit Hardship Program 80 - 100%The Finance Administration manages the finances of the Canton of Zurich and enables an overall view. It prepares the budget with financial plan and the accounts of the canton on behalf of the government council. It prepares financial decisions of the government council, ensures an efficient accounting system, and provides corresponding services for the entire administration.
The Specialist Unit Hardship Program implements the Covid-19 Hardship Program of the Canton of Zurich to support companies affected by the measures. This includes defining and adjusting the processes and instruments for implementation, subsequent control of the requirements and conditions including legal remedies, loan management including debt collection, as well as reporting. The unit is responsible for the continuously digital application, review, and payment process implemented for the Hardship Program, which is used and further expanded as part of the digitization of the administration for a variety of other case processing processes in the Canton of Zurich.
We are looking for reinforcement in the Specialist Unit Hardship Program immediately or by agreement. The position is initially limited until 31.12.2030.
Your tasks:
- Execution of economic aid for companies in the Canton of Zurich
- Management of the provided aid as well as checking compliance with requirements and conditions including participation in legal remedy procedures
- Management of loans
- Debt collection of the canton’s claims from the Hardship Program including debt enforcement and bankruptcy proceedings
- Reporting according to regulatory requirements
- Participation in projects and support of external service providers
Your profile:
- Degree at master’s level in business administration, economics, or law or equivalent education
- In-depth knowledge of finance and accounting
- Experience in administrative and/or corporate law as well as in receivables management/debt collection is an advantage
- Fluent German language skills (spoken/written)
- Advanced IT skills and openness to quickly familiarize with specialized applications; experience with SAP (FI) is an advantage
- Analytical, independent, and quality-conscious working style with a reliable and thoughtful personality
