Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents, and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to protecting and defending the interests of the child.
Serving the families of the canton, it operates through four main areas of action: child welfare , emergency reception , family support and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfill its mission, the institution manages 47 structures spread across the Canton of Geneva. It has more than 500 places for minors and young adults, and also offers outpatient educational services at home. The FOJ currently has 670 employees dedicated to serving young people and their families.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for a certified educator for its residence Les Plumes , a reception center for young children aged 2 to 7 years.
Job Description
Your role will notably consist of:
- Providing educational support and accompaniment within a multidisciplinary team, to children aged 2 to 7 years living in the residence
- Meeting the physiological, psychological, and emotional needs of children daily, and ensuring them a safe living environment
- Offering parenting support
- Working closely with placement services and families.
Job Specificity
- Irregular working hours (including nights and weekends).
Activity rate : 80%
Contract duration : March 1, 2026
Contract type : Permanent contract
Grade : 13 or 15 according to the salary scale of the State of Geneva

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work (HETS) or Diploma of social educator (ES) or university bachelor's degree (field related to social work) with one year of full-time professional practice in residential care or IGE
- Foreign diplomas: requirement of official recognition by SEFRI (or an equivalent recognized body)
- Proven experience in supporting young children (essential asset)
- Excellent knowledge of child development from 0 to 7 years
- Flexibility and ability to quickly adapt to diverse audiences
- Autonomy in work organization, while cultivating team spirit and a strong sense of initiative
- Very good knowledge of the Geneva social network and its main actors
- Good writing skills in French.

Must be Swiss nationality or hold a valid work permit.
