Finance & Administration Officer (90%) (m/f/x)
Our Migration & Integration Department in French-speaking Switzerland – a branch of Caritas Switzerland in Fribourg employing about a hundred staff – is responsible for supporting and integrating recognized refugees in the canton of Fribourg.
The Finance & Administration Service consists of about ten people working in three areas of expertise. The Administration is responsible for the administrative and financial follow-up as well as the control of refugee files. A team of specialists provides complementary support to social workers in all administrative aspects of monitoring social assistance beneficiaries, including financial monitoring of accounts related to social assistance. It also provides statistics related to its activities. The Reception handles the welcome, telephone switchboard, and mail for the Department. Finally, financial aspects related to the Department are also managed in this service. To ensure the execution of our mandate, we are looking for a Finance and Administration officer.
Your tasks
- Internal controls for litigation
- Management of litigation related to social assistance
- Support in managing beneficiaries' taxes
- Opening social assistance files for refugees in the Tutoris management system; various entries in client accounts and ensuring data quality
- Establishing basic budgets according to social assistance standards and adapting them when standards or statuses change
- Various calculations related to social assistance, issuing certificates of independence and final statements
- Controlling postings and preparing corrective documents in collaboration with social workers
- Internal postings of integration measures organized by Caritas or with external partners
- Posting and triggering payments of material aid
- Managing the Department's central mailbox
- Occasional replacements at reception
Our requirements
- Commercial employee CFC or equivalent administrative training
- Proven professional experience in finance
- High proficiency with common IT tools
- Excellent work organization, autonomy, sense of responsibility and initiative
- Mastery of the French language (spoken and written) with good writing skills
The workplace is Fribourg.
