The Zurich Brickworks offer ceramic solutions for the entire building envelope. For over 150 years, we have made living more natural and building easier with our clay building materials. From a simple raw material, we develop sophisticated systems for roofs, walls, and facades. Since 2020, we have been part of the swisspor Group.
To strengthen our plant maintenance at our location in Istighofen (Thurgau), we are looking for a production employee/burner (m/f/d).
Your Tasks
- Monitoring and controlling ovens and dryers
- Performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
- Recording and evaluating data regarding energy consumption
- Monitoring and controlling the boiler house
- Operating PLC-controlled systems and robots in conjunction with conventional tasks
- Monitoring production processes (press, dryer, setting, unloading point, and palletizing)
- Managing, maintaining, and caring for machine tools
- Performing minor maintenance and repair work
- Entering data into our ERP system Dynamics 365
- Monitoring quality according to specifications with the necessary measuring and testing equipment
- Maintaining cleanliness, order, and safety in your own work area
You Bring
- Completed vocational training in a technical profession is an advantage, ideally in the ceramic industry
- At least 3 years of professional experience, preferably in a manufacturing SME
- Manual dexterity and physical resilience
- Experience in operating controlled systems
- Basic knowledge of mechanics and electrical engineering
- Good technical understanding and willingness to learn new things
- Good written and spoken German skills as well as good PC skills
- Willingness for on-call and shift work
- Forklift license is an advantage
