Your Tasks
As part of its medical microbiology activities, Unilabs is looking for a Laboratory Assistant - Microbiology to assist laboratory technicians in the production and smooth running of medical analyses, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. The position reports to the Lab Manager Microbiology and is part of a demanding, standardized, and operational excellence-oriented environment.
Mission:
Provide technical and logistical assistance to microbiology activities to effectively contribute to the production of medical analyses, respecting quality and biosafety standards
Assistance at workstations for:
seeding of standard samples (stools, urine)
seeding of various samples (ENT, genital, sperm, precious fluids, etc.)
Supply and filling of reagents at the different microbiology stations
Preparation of parasitic concentrations
Performing PCR (GeneXpert, FilmArray)
Printing and managing GeneXpert results
Participation in internal quality controls (IQC) in molecular biology
Management of ATCC strains and IQC fertility of culture media
Organizing and tidying the cold room and the temperate storage
Reception, control, and storage of deliveries
Maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment:
PSC, incubators, balances, centrifuges
Specific equipment (Sysmex, Inoqula)
Sorting recyclable waste and managing biological waste disposal flows
Cleaning of small equipment (carriers, boxes, etc.)
Assistance in collecting and archiving reagent conformity certificates
Participation in stool station activities (antigen tests)
Other tasks as needed by the laboratory
Your Profile
High rigor and sense of organization

Knowledge or awareness of ISO 17025 standards
