Head of the Maternity Reception and Admissions Office
The Patient Administrative Management Service is looking to complete its team with a head of the maternity reception and admissions office at a rate of 80% to 100%, starting February 1, 2026, or as agreed.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Patient Administrative Management Directorate ensures the reception and admission of patients upon their arrival at the hospital. It also manages billing for services provided, medical coding, and relations with insurance companies.
The Reception and Admissions Unit includes about one hundred people spread over five sites: the main hospital building, the emergency department, the maternity ward, the children’s hospital, and external buildings. The maternity office, located on the CHUV Hospital City campus, is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and has 17 employees.
Mission
- You are responsible for welcoming patients and visitors as well as ensuring the quality of administrative data, essential for clinical care and billing
- You supervise the employees of your office as well as integration officers
- You manage and develop work procedures and projects related to your sector
- You serve as the "reception and admissions" business referent for the clinical services of the maternity ward
- You provide backup for other heads of reception and admissions offices.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) in an administrative field, with at least 10 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 4 years in a hotel or healthcare reception sector
- You have proven experience in team management
- You have demonstrated skills in organization and process management
- You are able to formalize, monitor, and enforce business procedures
- You master a foreign language and the planning of complex schedules.
💰 Depending on profile, the salary class will be between levels 8 and 9.
