The Compensation Office/IV Office of the Canton of Appenzell I.Rh. is a small, dynamic social insurance company with around 25 employees. It also includes the cantonal family compensation fund as well as the cantonal unemployment fund.
We are looking for a 1 April 2026 or by arrangement
Your tasks
- Collaboration in financial accounting (general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payment transactions, debt collection)
- Assistance with monthly and annual closing tasks as well as the preparation of reports in cooperation with the finance management
- Processing applications and requests for pensions (AHV/IV): from the eligibility requirements to the determination of benefits
- Support with general administrative tasks in finance and accounting as well as in the pension department
- Participation in internal projects and process optimizations
In our small teams, you quickly take on responsibility. In addition, you have the opportunity to comprehensively apply and expand your expertise within the framework of deputizing or by taking on additional tasks.
Your profile
- Commercial basic training with further education in finance and accounting (e.g., accounting clerk or equivalent)
- Professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in the environment of a compensation office or a public institution
- Knowledge in the area of social insurance benefits (AHV/IV/EO/ALV) is an advantage
- Independent, precise, and reliable way of working
- Team-oriented, service-minded personality with a flair for numbers
- High sense of responsibility and confidentiality
