Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for criminal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention.
The Probation and Enforcement Services (BVD) are one of seven main departments of JuWe and are responsible for the enforcement of custodial sentences and court-ordered measures as well as probation assistance. They make an important contribution to crime prevention and the social integration of offenders.
Shape instead of manage?
For the Measures Enforcement Department 2 with a focus on outpatient and inpatient therapeutic measures for offenders with addiction-related delinquency, we are looking for an experienced, structured, and reflective personality who enjoys shaping development and taking responsibility.
What you will achieve with us
- Personnel, professional, and organizational management of the Measures Enforcement Department 2 with an interdisciplinary team of seven employees
- Ensuring a professional, effective, and legally compliant implementation of outpatient and inpatient measures
- Further development of structures, processes, and quality management as well as harmonization of working methods
- Close cooperation with the legal service, internal specialist departments, and external partners
- Active participation in the management of the Probation and Enforcement Services as well as in projects, specialist, and working groups
- Representation of the department in complex professional situations, if necessary also before courts
What you bring with you
- Bachelor’s degree in law, social work, or a related field (e.g., psychology, criminology)
- At least five years of professional experience in a comparable environment and at least three years of leadership experience
- Confident handling of legal issues and the ability to incorporate different perspectives into well-founded decisions; knowledge of administrative law, forensics, addiction work, and/or case management is an advantage
- Structured, resilient personality with pronounced social skills and sense of responsibility
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as affinity for digital working methods
