- We assist with simple as well as complex (subject) searches and impart information literacy
- We offer support and infrastructure for scientific publications, research, and project data
- We collect and digitize Bernese materials

Tasks
Specialist tasks
- Information and advice to customers at the information desk, by phone, via e-mail, videoconference
- Design, organization, and implementation of training, online and/or on-site, including quality assurance:
- Information and media literacy courses for secondary and vocational schools
- Workshops on various topics in the field of information and media literacy, digital literacy, lifelong learning, and Bernensia
- Internal transfer of specialist knowledge
- Participation in internal knowledge management: co-design of the info area via Teams including setup, maintenance, and further development of the information wiki
- Participation in the training and supervision of apprentices and university interns (FID/MAS BIW) in the area of information & training
- Design and implementation of BMü projects (e.g., Museum Night)
- Coordination of student offers at BMü (organization, planning, evaluation, and quality assurance)
- Coordination of apprentices' (FID) assignments in the I&L team (organization, planning, evaluation, and quality assurance)
- Co-editor of BMü's Facebook and Instagram presence
- Co-design and implementation of storytelling cafés at BMü
- Participation in various UB and BMü working groups (e.g., AG user experience, AG learning space management)
- Collaboration UB Information and Services:
- Fee management
- Second level support for complex ALMA inquiries
Requirements
- FH degree as I&D Bachelor or equivalent education
- Strong customer orientation, service and quality awareness
- Good communication skills and didactic flair
- Teamwork and social skills
- Independence
- Innovative spirit and creativity
- Commitment and loyalty
- Very good research skills in printed and electronic sources
- Technical affinity, good knowledge of common Office programs, additional software skills
- Very good knowledge of the fulfillment module of the ALMA library system
- Knowledge of the library scene/trends
- Good foreign language skills (especially English/French)
- Flexibility regarding deployment planning, willingness for occasional Saturday shifts
