Deputy Head of Supply, Distribution and Storage Department (ADS)
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is looking for a Deputy Head of Supply, Distribution and Storage Department (ADS) at a rate of 80% to 100%, for a start date from April 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
👉 A key role in coordination and management, this position allows you to support the ADS service management, contribute to its operational performance, and accompany its strategic development in a demanding and stimulating university hospital environment.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in medical care, research, and education.
The Hospital Logistics Department (LOH) has the mission to enable care, teaching, and research units to fully focus on their core business by providing them with efficient and secure logistical services (supply, storage, distribution, sterilization, transport, flow management).
The Supply, Distribution and Storage Service (ADS) has nearly 130 employees and plays a strategic role in controlling goods and mail flows, as well as managing the stocks of care units and operating rooms.
In this context, the ADS service is strengthening and is looking for a Deputy Head of Service to support the management of the service and ensure the continuity of strategic and operational activities.
Mission
- You contribute to the strategic, operational, and organizational management of the ADS service
- You assist and support the Head of Service in defining, implementing, and monitoring the objectives, action plans, and projects of the service
- You replace the Head of Service and, if necessary, the sector heads, to ensure managerial and operational continuity
- You participate in change management and support teams in institutional and cross-functional projects
- You contribute to technological monitoring, analysis of innovation opportunities, and optimization of logistical processes
- You manage quality, safety, and risk management systems, including document management and business continuity plans
- You participate in resource management of the service, budget monitoring, and performance indicators (KPIs)
- You prepare analyses, reports, and management tools for the hierarchy and internal partners, and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the service.
Profile
- You hold a higher education degree in engineering, logistics, supply chain, or industrial management (HES or equivalent qualification)
- You have at least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role or in a complex logistics environment
- You have proven skills in project management and coordination of cross-functional activities
- You have experience or a strong sensitivity to the hospital environment and the field of care
- You are fluent in spoken and written French and have good knowledge of German and/or English
- You are comfortable with common IT tools (MS Office) and management tools
- You demonstrate structuring leadership, promoting collaboration, team cohesion, and skills development
- You show excellent organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills, with strong adaptability and initiative.
