Job description
The Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva is advertising a position for an assistant in intellectual property law and unfair competition, at a 100% rate within the Department of Commercial Law for a period of five months (from April 1, 2026 to August 31, 2026). Applications for a 50% rate are also accepted, however priority will be given to candidates available at a 100% activity rate.Terms of reference:
- Assistance to Professor Jacques de Werra for the master course 'International Intellectual Property Law' taught in the spring semester 2026 (this includes organizing and supervising oral exams in June 2026 and August 2026);
- Contribution to the organization of the summer school 'WIPO-UNIGE summer school on intellectual property' which will take place from June 15 to 26, 2026 (100% availability is required during the two weeks of the summer school);
- Proofreading and formatting of scientific contributions;
- Research work on topics related to intellectual property;
- Supervision and organization of the make-up exam for intellectual property law and unfair competition (May-June 2026)
Title and required skills
- Have obtained a university master's degree in Swiss law at the start of employment;
- Perfect command of French and English;
- Have knowledge and/or experience in intellectual property and unfair competition;
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
