Job Description
As a coordinator of vocational training programs, you join a team dedicated to implementing the institutional policy on internships and apprenticeships, whose mission is to manage vocational training programs across all hospital structures and support young people in completing their training.
In this role, you are responsible for managing the recruitment processes of apprentices in the care sector in coordination with the human resources managers of the departments, hierarchies, Nursing Directorate, recruitment service, and external partners. Your operational role involves identifying apprenticeship places, selecting candidates while ensuring equal opportunities. You handle commitments and contractual processes as well as the proper integration of apprentices.
You coordinate the orientation of applications to the various departments of the institution to meet institutional needs and the challenges of different professional fields. Thanks to your knowledge of career guidance, you ensure a positive candidate experience by analyzing candidates' motivations and potential. You provide career guidance and advice to young people currently training at HUG as well as to those wishing to join the institution.
With your overall vision, you promote smooth and appropriate communication with your internal and external partners. You do not hesitate to propose continuous improvements and innovate both in detecting emerging professions and in adapting and modernizing apprentice recruitment methods. You regularly exchange with your team to ensure harmonization of processes and practices related to apprenticeships.
Throughout the apprenticeship journey, you establish a relationship of trust with young trainees and their apprenticeship supervisors and are the reference person regarding regulations in the field. You also play a key role in preventing and resolving conflicts that may arise during training by encouraging dialogue and proposing appropriate solutions. When necessary, you provide support to apprentices in difficulty and propose assistance and support measures in coordination with HR managers and departmental hierarchies.
To achieve quality training objectives, you lead the network of apprenticeship trainers, conduct training actions, and regularly evaluate the program. Additionally, you ensure the involvement of all persons concerned with vocational training by providing them with adequate information on apprenticeship-related issues and best practices to implement.
As an ambassador of the employer brand and apprenticeships, you actively monitor and represent HUG at events, commissions, and external working groups concerned with corporate training and with networks of training companies.
You produce reports and management indicators related to your activity.
As a stakeholder of the Competence Center and the HR Department, your actions and participation in projects contribute to the development of the human resources function.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in human resources or psychology with a CAS in HR.
You have 5 years of experience in a similar role and/or related to career guidance and support. You possess very good knowledge of vocational training and Swiss regulations.
Your HR knowledge allows you to act as a consultant and support both young people and the professionals who supervise them daily in the field. Thanks to your empathy and interpersonal skills, you conduct structured interviews and manage sometimes complex individual situations.
You demonstrate team spirit and excellent oral and written communication skills, adapt to your interlocutors, and are able to work in networks transparently. The hospital environment and its professions also represent a genuine interest for you.
You work in an organized and methodical manner, enabling you to manage ambitious deadlines and objectives as well as busier periods. You are also very comfortable with IT tools (HRIS, MS OFFICE, SharePoint, etc.).
