The Hondele Lab at Biozentrum is searching for a highly motivated 50% laboratory technician.
Your position
The successful applicant will join a dynamic research group addressing fundamental questions in cell and molecular biology, focusing on the formation and function of biomolecular condensates. The work will be directly linked to a specific project in the laboratory, with links to nuclear biology and gene expression regulation. Main responsibilities include cell culture of mammalian cells, molecular biology and biochemical experiments.
Your profile
Applicants should have a degree as "Laborant/in" or a Bachelor/Master Degree in Biology or related topics. Previous experience in cell culture, molecular biology, and biochemical techniques is desired. Experience with the generation and maintenance of stable mammalian cell lines, fluorescence microscopy (including live-cell imaging), and genome editing approaches (e.g. CRISPR-based tagging) is advantageous but not required. The role requires flexibility, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. Enthusiasm and motivation for biological research are critical. The primary language of the laboratory and the Biozentrum is English.
