About the job
Our new hospital with state-of-the-art infrastructure ensures comprehensive outpatient and inpatient extended basic care for the canton of Uri with its extensive range of services. Our interdisciplinary acute ward cares for inpatient patients from all specialties. On our interdisciplinary acute wards, which are organized according to Lean Management and comprise around 70 beds, our patients are treated competently, personally, and with heart. We live an active DU culture with flat hierarchies and promote an open, collegial working environment. You can expect a lively environment with diverse learning and development opportunities.
For nutritional counseling, we are looking for a committed nutritionist BSc SVDE starting May 2026 or by arrangement.
YOUR TASKS
- Nutritional therapeutic care of inpatient patients with malnutrition, enteral and parenteral nutrition, diabetes mellitus, gastrointestinal diseases, and post-surgery
- Consultation and support of outpatient patients focusing on obesity, diabetes mellitus, malnutrition, gastrointestinal or oncological diseases, food intolerances
- Design and implementation of internal training sessions, teaching units, and lectures (medical staff, Service Excellence, nursing)
- Co-supervision of students from the university of applied sciences during internships
- Close interdisciplinary collaboration with endocrinology, oncology, surgery, internal medicine, gastroenterology, nursing, Service Excellence, and dietary kitchen
- Active participation in reports and co-design of projects for the further development of nutritional therapeutic concepts
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- Completed studies as a nutritionist (BSc, FH or HF)
- Very good oral and written German skills
- Confident handling of digital tools to efficiently integrate modern technologies into daily work
- Strong counseling skills to support patients individually and solution-oriented
- Interprofessional understanding characterized by appreciation and the ability to work successfully in a multidisciplinary team
