About the job
Do you want to bring your expertise in credit risk management to FINMA? Do you find it exciting to identify and classify the main risks of the Swiss financial market and its players? Then this position is made for you.
- Technical and organizational support in the development projects of regulatory bases in the field of credit and mortgages (for banks and insurance companies).
- Conducting supervisory interviews on credit risks with technical and hierarchical representatives of banks and insurance companies as well as with representatives of audit firms and other authorities.
- Technical management of on-site inspections in the field of credit risks, including preparation, follow-up, and documentation of results.
- Assessment of the risk situation when granting loans by banks as well as conducting, evaluating, and estimating the risk of credit case analyses taking into account the bank's internal risk measures as well as regulatory measures.
- In-depth clarification in case of anomalies and related problems at supervised institutions.
- Handling technical questions on topics related to credit and mortgages.
- Close collaboration with the hierarchy of the competent supervisory function or other internal organizational units within the framework of credit risk-related supervisory dialogues.
- Development, processing, analysis, and verification of statements and data collections containing relevant information on credit risk.
- University studies completed with a master's degree in economics or a comparable field with a quantitative specialization.
- Extensive professional experience (at least 5 to 7 years) in credit risk management in the Swiss financial industry, ideally as a credit officer, credit advisor, or real estate specialist.
- Strong ability to understand complex contexts and to communicate orally and in writing in a manner adapted to the recipient.
- Good data analysis skills.
- High judgment ability combined with a professional and assertive attitude as well as negotiation skills.
- Independent and proactive working method, even in complex and critical situations.
- Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration, good communication skills, and ability to assert oneself.
- Very good knowledge of French or German (C2), good knowledge of the other language (C1) as well as English (C1).
