About the job
You are responsible for planning and conducting psychiatric-psychotherapeutic initial interviews and therapies both in individual and group settings for patients over 65 years old. You also advise the affected individuals and their relatives and network with the multiprofessional team. You work in the psycho-oncological team. Additionally, you participate in the rotation of emergency services of the Psychiatric Services Thun (day shifts). You value close interprofessional collaboration and contribute to the further education and training of the Geriatric Psychiatric Service and the Psychiatric Services Thun in general.
How to become part of our team
- Completed psychology degree as well as a completed or preferably advanced postgraduate training in psychotherapy
- Additional qualification in gerontopsychology or interest in completing training in geriatric psychotherapy
- Several years of professional experience in psychiatric institutions as well as in the field of geriatric psychiatry
- Enjoyment in working with elderly patients with geriatric psychiatric issues
- Interest in close collaboration with various social and healthcare institutions
