Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for criminal and measures enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professional groups, the successful social reintegration of offenders, the prevention of recidivism, and the preparation of the departure of persons without valid residence status are of particular importance.
The Probation and Enforcement Services (BVD) – one of seven main departments of JuWe – are responsible for the enforcement of custodial sentences and court-ordered measures as well as probation assistance.
The Measures Enforcement Department 2 supports people with addiction-related criminality within the framework of outpatient and inpatient therapeutic measures.
For this versatile and responsible field of activity, we are looking for an empathetic and committed personality to start immediately or by arrangement, who wants to take on a meaningful activity with social impact.
This is your field of activity
- You take responsibility for your own cases in measures enforcement and thus actively contribute to reducing recidivism and successful reintegration
- You individually support your clients and refer them to suitable clinics, enforcement facilities, or therapists if necessary
- Together with professionals, you formulate treatment goals, review the therapy process, and assess goal achievement
- You issue orders, monitor instructions, and decide on enforcement relaxations as well as conditional releases. Together with professional partners, you carefully prepare the release
- You write reports and submit applications to courts and partner institutions
- You ensure that activity, contact, and area bans are checked and complied with
- Through your participation in committees and projects, you contribute your expertise and actively participate in the further development of the department

- You have a university degree in law, psychology, social work, criminology, or a related field
- You bring knowledge in administrative law, forensics, addiction work, or case management, or are willing to acquire it
- You communicate confidently in German both orally and in writing and convince with your counseling and conversational skills
- You use the M365 suite confidently and naturally integrate digital tools into your daily work
- You have an impeccable reputation (no entries in the criminal or debt register)
