Head of Care Training Areas (Quality, Safety, Research)
The CHUV Training Center is looking for a head of the quality & safety of care and teaching & research training areas, at a 40% activity rate, for an open-ended contract.
The starting date is scheduled for May 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals, with one of its fundamental missions being training, alongside care and research.
The CHUV Training Center offers a wide range of training courses aimed at continuously strengthening the professional skills of the institution's staff. These trainings support both professional confidence, excellence in care services, and the quality of care for patients and their relatives.
In connection with CHUV's research mission, the Training Center also develops teachings promoting the use of evidence-based practice (EBP), continuous quality improvement of care, and the development of clinical leadership.
Professional culture and the enabling context are major axes of CHUV's care vision, with a strong focus on quality, safety, research, innovation, and clinical performance.
Mission
- You provide teachings, notably related to the use of evidence-based data (EBP), quality improvement of care, and project management according to CHUV reference models
- You coordinate the Quality & Safety of Care and Teaching & Research training areas
- You design, develop, and update educational content and training programs
- You actively contribute to the quality of the Training Center's services
- You maintain, as much as possible, a clinical activity in parallel.
Profile
- You hold a Master’s degree in a health profession or an equivalent qualification
- You have training in pedagogy and didactics of at least 300 hours (10 ECTS) or equivalent training
- You have at least 5 years of clinical experience in a university hospital setting, as well as at least 2 years of specialized clinical experience
- You possess in-depth knowledge of the services offered by the Training Center
- You are comfortable with common IT tools and software specific to hospital training
- You have good knowledge of scientific English
- Knowledge of CHUV clinical practice improvement reference models (OVPE, JBI, Performance) is a real advantage
- JBI training – clinical leadership is an asset.
