Class and annual salary (including 13th month salary):
6 68'456.-- / 107'475.--
Tasks:
- ensure the configuration, management and technical support of the cantonal Polycom radio network
- ensure the technical operation of the assigned hardware systems and management software
- provide technical support and specialist advice to the Police Corps, in order to correctly assess the requests of the individual services; particularly regarding telecommunications products, special electronics and IT
- ensure constant updating and development of the aforementioned products, in collaboration with the Information Systems Center (CSI), partners and external suppliers
- participate in, and possibly coordinate, working groups and Police projects
- train and assist users in the use of the various special applications provided to the Police
- assume the role of Polycom specialist, specifically in the area of terminals and TCP/IP network
- ensure the Police technical on-call service and the service desk
Requirements:
- training as SSST or SSIG technician in electronics, technical IT or related fields or cantonal maturity (high school or cantonal commercial school) or professional maturity
- Swiss nationality
- good conduct and absence of records incompatible with employment in the Police
- excellent language skills in Italian (spoken and written) and knowledge of a second official language (preferably German)
- category B driving license
- proven experience in technical, IT/system or telecommunications fields
- availability for work outside regular hours and to perform 24-hour on-call duties
- good stress resistance, reliability and a positive attitude to work both in a team and independently
- analytical, decision-making skills and ability to think and act independently
Preferred qualifications:
- knowledge of German and technical English;
- possession of higher qualifications, certifications or diplomas (CAS, DAS, bachelor, technical certifications, etc.)
- work experience in high-reliability systems or in telecommunications, TCP/IP networks, automation or technical IT
- experience in software programming and/or hardware control
- training or experience in managing and leading complex projects
Special notes:
- candidates participating in the competition authorize the Cantonal Police to process all data necessary for the security check of good conduct

Employment conditions:
- appointment or assignment: those provided by the Law on the organization of State employees and teachers of March 15, 1995 (LORD) and the related Regulation. Any changes in law concerning salary and organization are explicitly reserved
- working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment rate), flexible or according to service needs
