Tasks:
- manage the cantonal traffic model and its update
- provide expert advice on all aspects related to traffic engineering (e.g. modeling through micro- and macro-simulations, technical regulations)
- conduct concept, feasibility studies and preliminary projects related to transport infrastructure
- support the head of office in the general tasks of the office (drafting messages, responses to parliamentary acts, credit requests, coordination with other services, contacts with municipalities and the Confederation, etc.)
- participate in multidisciplinary working groups and accompany projects and studies conducted by third parties
Requirements:
- complete academic studies (bachelor + master) in sciences related to transport and/or spatial planning or in other disciplines with several years of experience in the mobility and/or transport planning sector
- proven knowledge of traffic engineering
- strong analytical and organizational skills
- good communication and writing skills
- good willingness to work independently and in a team
- good spoken and written knowledge of German
- preferential qualifications include:
- studies in civil engineering
- experience in the design of mobility infrastructures
- understanding of traffic simulation programs (PTV VISSIM and PTV VISUM)
- practical knowledge of GIS
Special remarks:
- the position of Scientific Collaborator I (class 10) can only be assigned to candidates with complete academic degrees: university license, degree, consecutive Bachelor + Master or university of applied sciences (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits) and who have at least 15 years of professional experience in the required field
- the position of Scientific Collaborator II (class 9) will be assigned to candidates holding only a Bachelor or a short degree or to candidates with less than 15 years of professional experience in the required field and holding complete academic degrees: university license, degree, consecutive master or university of applied sciences (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits)

Employment conditions:
- appointment or assignment: those provided by the Law on the organization of State employees and teachers of March 15, 1995 (LORD) and the related Regulation. Any legal changes concerning salary and organization are explicitly reserved
- working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment relationship), flexible or according to service needs
