The Zurich University of Teacher Education actively shapes education, school, and teaching of today and tomorrow in teaching and research. The Primary Level Department is responsible for the training of primary school teachers. It currently offers three bachelor's degree programs as well as subject and level extensions that provide fundamental competencies for teaching at the primary level.
The Assistant Teachership program is a mandatory foreign language internship in English for students of PH Zurich in the primary level degree programs. The foreign language internship lasts three weeks and takes place at a partner school in an English-speaking country.
Your responsibilities.
- Organization and coordination of the foreign language internship (Assistant Teachership) in the English-speaking region
- Assignment of students to suitable internship positions at partner schools abroad
- Advising and supporting students as well as partner schools on administrative questions regarding the internship - in person, by phone, and in writing, mainly in English
- Management and maintenance of administrative documents
- Appointment coordination, deadline monitoring, and quality assurance in the assigned areas of responsibility
- Further development and optimization of processes
Your qualifications.
- Completed commercial training and several years of professional experience in a comparable administrative function
- Confident German as well as very good English skills in spoken and written form (at least level C1)
- Proficient use of digital tools (MS Office, knowledge of Evento and FileMaker is an advantage)
- Strong service orientation, organizational skills, and enjoyment in advising
- Precise, efficient, and independent working style with a high quality standard
- Open, committed, and communicative personality with pronounced social skills and ability to work in a team
- Good French skills are an advantage
