Technical Assistant Specialized in Operating Room (ATSSO) at the Maternity
The Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME) is looking for a technical assistant specialized in the operating room (ATSSO), with an activity rate of 70% to 100% on a permanent contract, to join the maternity operating room as soon as possible.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. In collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, training, and clinical research.
The Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME) includes the Gynecology, Obstetrics, Neonatology, Pediatrics, and Child and Adolescent Surgery Services. More than 1,500 professionals work within this department. We care for women throughout their lives in gynecological, obstetrical, and psychosocial aspects, as well as children from birth to adolescence.
The maternity operating room consists of a technical platform aimed at caring for patients undergoing elective and emergency surgery in gynecological and obstetrical specialties. It includes three operating rooms. This technical platform is close to the delivery room, the recovery room, and the maternity continuous care unit. The nursing staff provides care, assistance, and monitoring during the pre- and perioperative periods in support of the medical-surgical team.
Mission
- You assume the role of assistant in the operating room during interventions
- You participate in the installation and care of patients
- You ensure the maintenance, cleaning, and disinfection of care equipment and the operating environment.
Profile
- You hold a nursing assistant diploma, complemented by a recognized ATSSO training
- You have at least 3 years of experience in the operating room
- You are motivated by interdisciplinary work and enjoy working in demanding contexts
- You have a good command of spoken and written French
- You are comfortable using common computer tools
- You demonstrate dynamism, a sense of responsibility, and possess good interpersonal skills
