Bachtelen is committed in the canton of Solothurn with various offers for the promotion and integration of children, adolescents and young adults.

For our gastronomy department we are looking for a

cook 100% starting May 1, 2026

As a trained cook EFZ, you will spoil the children, adolescents and employees with fresh and seasonal dishes.

We look forward to a person

• with training as a cook EFZ, further training as a diet cook is an advantage
• who preferably already has professional experience in social institutions
• with the willingness to acquire missing expertise through further training
• who is team-oriented and resilient and brings a high degree of flexibility
• who appreciates and lives interdisciplinary collaboration
• who has high social competence and a flair for dealing with children and adolescents. Ideally, you already have vocational training
• who likes to work independently, precisely and reliably

Your tasks include

• active participation in the kitchen
• co-responsibility for the correct implementation of the hygiene concept in the specialist area
• co-design and optimization of the gastronomy department
• accompanying young people during kitchen assignments with the necessary patience, empathy and understanding
• depending on your qualifications, responsibility for training or assistance in the training of apprentices at EBA level
• about 10% administrative tasks
• deputizing for the head chef in case of absence
