YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
As a Systems Engineer Electrical, you take professional responsibility for the planning, design, and integration of electrical systems within the scope of modernization projects for rail vehicles. You ensure that the technical solutions are implemented functionally, in compliance with standards, and economically.
- System responsibility for electrical vehicle components, especially low-voltage onboard networks, drive and traction systems, lighting systems, as well as other electrical and mechatronic subsystems.
- Development and coordination of technical concepts, specifications, and integration solutions in close cooperation with internal departments and external partners.
- Creation and maintenance of manufacturing- and assembly-friendly engineering documents, such as circuit diagrams, cable lists, equipment lists, and technical specifications.
- Technical support of suppliers, including requirement definition, interface clarification, design reviews, and approvals.
- Support of implementation in assembly, production, and commissioning as well as technical assistance during functional, type, and acceptance tests.
- Conducting analyses, clarifications, and variant evaluations to develop robust and economical modernization solutions.
- Collaboration with customers, testing bodies, and experts as well as support in approval matters.
- Accompanying projects through all phases, from concept definition through engineering and integration to testing and approval.
YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Completed studies (FH/University) in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or automation or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in the railway environment, ideally in system or vehicle technology.
- Good knowledge of relevant railway-specific standards and guidelines (e.g., EN, TSI) is an advantage.
- Structured and solution-oriented working style with a high level of quality awareness.
- Team-oriented personality with strong communication skills and sense of responsibility.
- Very good German skills, good English skills in spoken and written form.
