Job Description
As a specialist in hepato-bilio-pancreatic surgery and transplantation, you will work in a stimulating university environment within a multidisciplinary team, participating in the clinical and surgical activities of the visceral surgery and transplantation services. The institution is a reference center in the field, providing care for local patients and those referred from other regions. Our activity is focused on minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery (liver and pancreas). We perform all abdominal transplantations (liver, kidney, pancreas, pancreatic islets, small intestine).
In your role, you supervise and ensure the care of hospitalized patients as well as outpatients during dedicated consultations of the Transplantation Service and the hepato-pancreato-biliary team of the Visceral Surgery Service. You are responsible for transplantation and emergency on-call duties in visceral surgery and assist the head physician of the service in supervising medical and administrative activities and the operational management of the service.
Should the structure evolve into a center, you will be able to co-direct it and contribute to strategic development while promoting research and actively participating in pre- and post-graduate teaching.

You must be able to independently perform multi-organ retrieval and have an interest in pancreatic transplantation. Experience in living donor liver retrieval and split liver retrieval would be an advantage.
It is highly desirable that you possess an academic title or academic record (teaching, publications, research conducted, research funding obtained) allowing the acquisition of an academic title at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva according to current criteria.
