Tasks:
- control of communicable diseases and epidemic control
- supervision of substitute treatments for drug addicts
- supervision of reproductive medicine
- medical advice to state services and to doctors or other entities in the territory
- support to the Cantonal Doctor upon request
- support in cases of health surveillance
- participation in Commissions or Working Groups
Requirements:
- federal medical diploma or equivalent foreign qualification already recognized by MEBEKO
- federal advanced title (FMH or equivalent) in infectious diseases
- clinical medical experience, preferably in a managerial position
- MPH degree in public health
- proven experience or training in Health Law
- experience in public health, with particular reference to the management of communicable diseases
- good knowledge of the cantonal and Swiss health system
- excellent knowledge of Italian and one official language; good knowledge of the third official language and English
- inclination for interdisciplinary and team work
- analytical, synthesis and editorial skills
- negotiation and conflict management skills
- strong ability to work independently
- organizational and management skills
- willingness for professional updating
- availability for on-call duty of the Office
- stress resistance and flexible hours
Special remarks:
- this is a particularly varied and demanding job requiring a solid personality, an analytical attitude and scientific work skills, ability to make important decisions and at the same time attitudes for dialogue and diplomacy, pleasure in confrontation and dialogue, communication skills towards different audiences (professionals and laypeople). Any gaps can be filled with specific training courses to be established at the beginning of employment

Employment conditions:
