The Geneva Foundation for Socio-Cultural Animation is a partner institution, funded by the Canton and the municipalities, whose mission is to promote and maintain social cohesion in the canton of Geneva, that is to ensure the quality of the relationship between individuals and society. Through socio-educational, socio-cultural, and associative field actions carried out by centers and outreach teams, the Foundation meets the population's needs in terms of meeting, exchange, solidarity, citizenship, quality of life, with a general objective of preventing social exclusion.
Job opening within the association ACCUEIL ADOLESCENT CYCLE ORIENTATION THONEX, for a 70% socio-cultural animator position on a permanent contract. Target population: adolescents aged 12 to 15 years.
Job Description
- Take responsibility for animation, socio-educational work, and free reception of young people of cycle age.
- Actively participate in the development of the activity program of the reception place, as well as in supporting youth projects.
- Assume management tasks related to activities, including supervising monitors, ECG interns, ASE apprentices, HETS students.
- Develop and maintain dynamic and trusting internal communication within the team, ensure the flow of information between the team, the Maison des Quartiers, the TSHM team, FASe, and municipal authorities.
- Take part in prevention on youth-related topics: consumption, affective life, violence…
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in social work, HES level or an equivalent university degree (education sciences, sociology, psychology, anthropology, ethnology / State Diploma of Specialized Educator (DEES), State Higher Diploma of Youth, Popular Education and Sport (DESJEPS). SEFRI recognition of the DEES/DESJEPS must be obtained during the first year in the position and grants access to the maximum function class.
- Successful experience in animation and interest in neighborhood development issues, sensitivity to environmental questions.
- Ability and willingness to work in a team and network.
- Recognized skills in project design and presentation, creative and dynamic spirit.
- Good experience in organization and planning, priority management.
- Ability to work autonomously while working in a team.
- Ability to write reports, use common computer software, rigor and respect for deadlines.
- Experience in communication, multimedia, and social networks.
- Good knowledge of the Geneva social system and the functioning of FASe.
- Knowledge in HR management.
Additional Information
- Availability, openness to flexible and irregular hours (evening and weekend activities).
- Salary according to the Geneva State salary scale: maximum class 15.
- Start date: as soon as possible.
