Nurse for the University Service of Psychiatry of Advanced Age
The University Service of Psychiatry of Advanced Age is looking for a nurse with a workload between 80% - 100%, starting April 1, 2026 or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, medical research, and education.
The University Service of Psychiatry of Advanced Age (SUPAA) is a specialized service whose mission is to ensure care, teaching, and research in the field of psychiatry for the elderly. This mandate is entrusted to it by the Department of Health and Social Action.
Mission
- You provide preventive, curative, palliative, and educational nursing care to patients aged 65 and over, respecting professional standards and the rules in force within the institution and the unit
- You provide care to patients/clients of advanced age psychiatry (PAA) presenting with long-lasting and variably intense mental disorders and ensure the reception, evaluation, and orientation function of the patient/client
- You promote patient engagement in care by integrating their primary and secondary networks
- You collaborate in organizing work and ensuring the smooth running of the service's activities
- You participate in development, teaching, and research activities at SUPAA.
Profile
- You hold a HES nursing diploma (or a title deemed equivalent, as well as recognition from the Red Cross for staff qualified abroad, imperative)
- You master French orally and in writing
- You have good knowledge of computer tools (Word, internet, Outlook)
- A certificate or diploma in the field of mental health is an asset
- Experience with elderly people and/or in psychiatry is an asset.
Depending on the experience and profile of the candidate, the salary class is between levels 8 and 9.
