Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! The cantonal tax office, together with the municipal tax offices, collects taxes for the federal government, the canton, and the municipalities. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. Around 800 qualified employees are committed to this at the location in Zurich Altstetten.

As the deputy team leader of operations, you and your team ensure that our specialized applications and IT infrastructure run smoothly and continuously evolve. At the same time, in the role of application manager, you take on operational responsibility for one or more specialized applications.

Your tasks:

• You support the team leader in the professional, personnel, and administrative management of the operations team.
• You actively shape the exchange within the department as well as with stakeholders and suppliers.
• As an application manager, you are responsible for the stable operation of one or more specialized applications.
• You take over the lifecycle management of your applications including installation, migration, and configuration.
• You technically support the service owners and maintain the technical documentation.
• You also contribute your expertise in the area of Linux and help to further develop our infrastructure.

Your profile:

• Completed higher vocational training in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience in operating specialized applications in complex IT landscapes.
• Initial leadership experience or interest in developing into a leadership role.
• Sound knowledge in handling Linux systems.
• Certifications such as ITIL, HERMES, TOGAF, SaFe, or Scrum are an advantage.
• You are a team player with a high service orientation, methodological competence, and a convincing personality.
• You bring openness to change and further development.
