The Sozialwerk Pfarrer Sieber Foundation (SWS) is committed to helping those in need based on the Gospel. With around 200 employees and 250 volunteers, it operates several facilities in the health and social sector in Zurich and the surrounding area, offering assistance particularly with homelessness, substance addiction, and other related health and social problems.
Our residential facility Schärme is a substance-accepting housing offer with 35 places, of which 19 are fully supervised and 16 partially supervised. Its mission is derived from the four-pillar principle of the Swiss drug policy and is dedicated to survival aid and harm reduction. The offer is aimed at adults with substance use disorders. The individual and situation-appropriate care aims to improve living conditions as well as maintain and enable independent everyday coping.
A task that challenges:
- Case management and relationship work as a reference person in individual settings
- Assistance / motivational work in managing the residents' everyday life
- Support of residents in administrative matters
- Promotion of socially acceptable interaction in the shared apartments
- Collaboration with the residents' support system
- Administration of medically prescribed medications and narcotics
- Qualified documentation in the case management system
- Crisis interventions
A profile that convinces:
- Completed training in social work, social pedagogy, or nursing with a focus on psychiatry at HF/FH level
- Experience dealing with mental illnesses (focus on addiction disorders) is an advantage
- Empathetic and skillful handling of people in difficult life situations
- Resilience, conflict ability, assertiveness, and independence
- High self- and social competence
- Team-oriented working style
- Good IT skills
