The dreischiibe foundation is an innovative, non-profit social enterprise. In our versatile service and commercial center in Herisau, St. Gallen, and Flawil, we create professional and personal perspectives for people with mental disabilities at 220 work, training, and integration places. In the day center and meeting center, we promote social integration with 63 visitor places.
Our café restaurant as well as the staff restaurant in Herisau are day operations and open from Monday to Friday. We maintain a market-fresh, regional, and seasonal cuisine with a high degree of fresh production.
To support our gastro specialist team in Herisau, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a
Work Educator as Group Leader Kitchen 60% workload on 4 days with continuous day shift
Your tasks
- Menu planning and co-design of the sales offer
- Process responsibility in production as well as in daily business
- Planning and organizing kitchen workflows involving employees
- Guiding and leading employees at supported workplaces
- Conducting banquets with employees outside opening hours and also on weekends
- Administrative tasks, writing reports, and managing orders
- Purchasing and inventory management
- Co-responsibility for calculations and budget compliance
- Willingness for possible assignments at the second location in the broggepark restaurant in St. Gallen-Bruggen
- Quality control of food as well as compliance and monitoring of HACCP
Your profile
- Training as a cook EFZ with at least 5 years of professional experience
- Experience in à la carte kitchen
- Additional pedagogical training or several years of experience in the social field
- Leadership experience in smaller teams and high social competence
- Joy and enthusiasm for cooking
- Flexibility, willingness to work at both locations, occasional assignments at banquet events outside opening hours in the evening or on weekends.
- Empathy and respectful interaction with people with mental disabilities as well as the ability and joy for appropriate support
- Good user knowledge of common MS Office programs
- Driver's license category B
