The Office for Youth and Career Counseling (AJB) informs, advises, and supports the population of the canton of Zurich on topics related to family, career, and professional development. It provides various services decentrally in several child and youth welfare centers (kjz) and career information centers (biz).
The kjz Kloten is looking for a committed and experienced person for the position of
Department Head Social Work and Mandates (SAM) - 80%
The services of statutory and voluntary child and youth welfare are provided at kjz Kloten by two departments. With this meaningful and demanding task, you have the opportunity with your team to positively influence the lives of children, adolescents, and their families and to support them in difficult life situations.
Your tasks:
- Professional, organizational, and personnel management of about eight social workers in the Social Work and Mandates department
- Responsibility for professional coaching as well as case and performance management
- Cooperation with the responsible child and adult protection authority
- Collaboration in the management committee of kjz Kloten
- Future-oriented, innovative development of services
- Contact person for internal and external agencies as well as active participation in working groups, committees, and projects
Your profile:
- University of applied sciences degree in social work or equivalent training as well as further education in systemic counseling and leadership
- Solid professional experience in child, youth, and family welfare and child protection
- Leadership experience is an advantage
- Organizational and conceptual skills
- High team orientation as well as social and communication skills
