The SCHAFFHAUSER SPECIAL SCHOOLS are an independent public-law institution of the
Canton of Schaffhausen. More than 480 children and young people with physical and/or cognitive disabilities, with speech, hearing, or other profound developmental impairments are currently taught and supported integratively in the regular schools of the canton or separately at four
locations in the city of Schaffhausen. In addition to various therapy services, we run a school-complementary area with lunch service, day structure, and boarding school.
Over 580 employees are committed in various functions at the SCHAFFHAUSER SPECIAL SCHOOLS.
For the 2025/26 school year, we are looking for a
Teacher for Cycle 1
Morning workload: Monday (team teaching) / Wednesday half class, total 8 lessons
There is the possibility to teach TTG in half classes on Thursday and Friday mornings, total 8 lessons.
The speech therapy school comprises five lower school classes and currently two kindergarten classes.
The schoolchildren are taught according to the Lehrplan 21 of the regular school and receive individual, specific support in the language area.
You work closely in a small team with the speech therapist and the educational assistant.
With an EDK-recognized teaching qualification for the grade level and preferably teaching experience, you meet our requirements. A recognized special education training or willingness to train is a prerequisite for a long-term employment.
Our employment conditions are based on the cantonal personnel law.
