Main tasks
- Professional and organizational support in projects to further develop the regulatory framework in the credit and mortgage sector (for banks and insurance companies)
- Conducting supervisory discussions on credit risks with specialists and line representatives of banks and insurance companies as well as with representatives of audit firms and other authorities
- Professional leadership in on-site inspections in the area of credit risks including preparation, follow-up, and documentation of results
- Assessment of the risk situation in the credit granting of individual banks as well as execution, evaluation, and risk assessment of analyses of credit cases considering both internal bank and regulatory risk metrics
- In-depth clarification of anomalies and related problems of supervised institutions
- Handling of technical questions on topics from the credit and mortgage sector
- Close cooperation with the responsible line supervisory function or other internal organizational units in credit risk-related supervisory dialogues
- Development, processing, analysis, and review of reports and data collections with credit risk-relevant information
Profile
- University degree with a master's degree in economics or a comparable field with a quantitative focus
- Extensive (at least 5-7 years) professional experience in credit risk management in the Swiss financial industry, ideally as a credit officer, credit advisor, or real estate specialist
- Strong ability to understand complex relationships and communicate appropriately in writing and orally to the target audience
- Good data analysis skills
- High judgment ability combined with professional, confident demeanor and negotiation skills
- Independent, proactive working style even in complex and time-critical situations
- Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration, good communication skills, and assertiveness
- Very good German or French skills (C2) with good knowledge of the other language (C1) as well as good English skills (C1)
