The Dean's Office of the Faculty of Philosophy and Natural Sciences serves as a hub for communication, administration, and management between the faculty, university leadership, lecturers, students, and other bodies.
As of May 1, 2026, we are looking for a Dean's Office Manager for the Dean's Office of the Phil.nat. Faculty.
Tasks
Faculty Affairs:
- Administrative and organizational management of the Dean's Office
- Support of the Dean in the preparation and execution of faculty affairs according to the faculty's rules of procedure, faculty regulations, and other instructions/guidelines
- Preparation of faculty meetings and minute-taking at faculty meetings in English
- Management of communication processes towards the faculty (institutes/departments), university leadership, administrative directorate, and students
- Budget preparation and control for the Dean's Office; accounting of examination fees, updating the internal control system
- Organization of the doctoral ceremony and faculty events
- Updating the faculty website
Leadership Functions:
- Management of the Dean's Office secretariat and team, including MAG, personnel administration, salary controls
Requirements
- Completed commercial training (EFZ); professional experience and practice in a complex administration as well as leadership experience
- Proficient communication skills in German and English
- High degree of independence, reliability, initiative, organizational talent, high resilience, diplomatic and psychological skills
- Experience in conflict management
