Student Assistant (12 hrs/week) Professorship for Modern General History

Student assistant in the 1st or 2nd BA

4-5 hours/week from 15 February 2026

The Medical Faculty is looking for a student assistant from 15 February 2026 or by arrangement for the administrative support of the Learning Center and the Skills Lab.

Your tasks

• Reception support during the Learning Center opening hours (mainly afternoons)
• General office tasks
• First contact person for support requests (technology, furniture)
• Setting up rooms for courses, general room checks, etc.
• Assistance with inventory management of teaching and office materials
• Support of students in self-study in the Skills Lab
• Independent execution of smaller projects
• Support of the Dean's office and Study Dean's office

Your profile

• You are currently studying in Basel and surroundings in the 1st or 2nd BA
• You have good IT skills (especially Microsoft Office)
• You are a committed, reliable and responsible person with an independent and precise working style
• You would also be willing to work occasionally during semester breaks
• You enjoy organizing and are hands-on
• You can imagine teaching others something (e.g. practical skills)
• You are communicative, friendly, a team player and flexible
