Shape the future of special education: In this leadership position, you are responsible for the areas of assessments and assignments for special schools, develop innovative concepts, strengthen integrative educational pathways, and advance school development.
Your tasks
- As a department head, you effectively implement the cantonal strategy including concept work. You always keep the goal of making special education more permeable in mind.
- You directly lead five employees, design internal processes, and participate as a member of the management of the Public School Education Office.
- In close coordination with the Special Needs Management and regular schooling, you promote integrative educational processes.
- The conference of special education institutions, asylum school offerings, and the specialist office for early education and integrative special education is shaped by you in close collaboration with the Special Needs Management.
- You are responsible for the planning of offerings and coordination of space requirements in the special school sector. Applications are processed, assessments conducted, and decisions issued in your department.
- You are the contact person for didactic and teaching-related questions in the area of special schools and advise authorities, school administrations, and teams.
Your profile
- You have a master's degree in special education (or equivalent) with additional qualifications in leadership and school development.
- You are an experienced leader with proven expertise in integrative to segregative special education.
- Change management is not just a term for you, as you have successfully led change processes in your previous career.
- Thanks to your analytical thinking, you find it easy to take responsibility for strategic and conceptual topics.
- With your team spirit, confident appearance, and enthusiasm for inclusive education, you actively and participatively shape educational processes with the school field.
