Deputy Director of Nursing at the Department of Interdisciplinary Centers
To complete its team, the Nursing Directorate of the Department of Interdisciplinary Centers is looking for a deputy director of nursing for the department at a rate of 80% to 100%, starting January 1, 2026, or as agreed.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, research, and education.
The Department of Interdisciplinary Centers (DCI) brings together technical platforms (central operating room, endoscopy center), as well as the anesthesiology service, adult intensive care service, emergency service, 144 emergency call center, and pharmacy service. The DCI's mission is to provide highly specialized care, develop training, research, and quality approaches through multidisciplinary methods.
Mission
- You participate, alongside the Nursing Directorate of the department, in a participatory, responsible, and efficient personnel management policy
- You assume, by mandate and delegation, responsibilities in the strategic and operational management of nursing
- You actively contribute to the continuous improvement of patient and family care
- You support development, innovation, and research projects related to the department's mission
- You carry out cross-functional mandates entrusted by the Nursing Directorate.
Profile
- You hold a diploma as a HES nurse (or equivalent recognized by the Swiss Red Cross)
- You have postgraduate training in intensive care (EPDSI), anesthesia (EPDSA), emergency (EPDSU), or operating room (IDDO)
- You have a DAS in health management (or an equivalent title considered), or are willing to acquire it
- You have at least 4 to 5 years of experience as a nursing manager, at ICUS level or higher
- You have proven management skills, as well as an interest in the following topics: health economics, health law, HR management, finance, project management
- You master common office software tools.
