The Kantonsschule Zimmerberg in Au ZH was newly opened in August 2020. In its upcoming seventh year of operation, it is expected to have 25 classes with a total of around 600 students. It offers a long and a short gymnasium with five Matura profiles (classical languages, modern languages, mathematical-scientific, economic-legal, as well as philosophical-pedagogical-psychological). In the young, manageable cantonal school, personal contact and the individual are at the center.
At the beginning of the 2026/27 school year, we are looking for two secondary school teachers with special responsibilities for the subject of biology.
Your tasks
The advertised positions are permanent appointments "with special responsibilities (mbA)" according to the Zurich cantonal ordinance for secondary and vocational school teachers. The scope of duties includes teaching at all grade levels and in all offered profiles as well as participation in the school community, for example as a class teacher or in commissions and working groups.
Your profile
We are looking for experienced teachers who ensure competent and contemporary subject teaching and are motivated to take responsibility for the additional tasks in the further development of our still young school and to actively help shape the Kantonsschule Zimmerberg. The formal requirements are a completed university degree at the master’s level, the teaching diploma or an equivalent professional and pedagogical education, as well as several years of teaching experience at the gymnasium level.
