Job Description
In this role, you will support the management of simplified tender processes and ensure compliance with CERN's procurement rules. You will also assist CERN users in their procurement activities, providing guidance and operational support. This position is ideal for someone eager to develop expertise in procurement within a dynamic and international organization.
Your responsibilities:
- Manage simplified tender processes for contracts valued between CHF 10,000 and CHF 50,000, ensuring adherence to CERN's procurement rules and procedures.
- Verify the conformity of orders with CERN's purchasing regulations, while meeting technical, delivery, and performance requirements.
- Provide operational support and guidance to CERN users throughout their procurement journey.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records for auditing and reporting purposes.
Your profile:
- Initial experience in procurement, contract management, or administrative support.
- Proficiency leading a contractual negotiations.
- Experience working in an international or multicultural setting is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and standard office tools.
Skills:
- Commercial and contractual documentation writing.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in contract management and compliance with procedures.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Communication skills to interact with multi-cultural stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French.
Eligibility criteria:
- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State .
- By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Business Administration or Procurement (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
- Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
- Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.

Contract duration: 12 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
Working hours: 40 hours per week
