Administration
HR Director for the DAL & DNC Departments
We are looking for an HR Director for the DAL and DNC departments between 80% and 100% immediately or by agreement.
Context
The DAL brings together the rheumatology, orthopedics and traumatology, plastic and hand surgery services, the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as the Sports Medicine Center and the Chiropractic Unit. It manages pathologies related to the skeleton, tendons, and joints, whether accidental or degenerative in origin 👉 Visit the DAL webpage
The DNC brings together the neurosurgery, neurology, neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation services, the Leenaards Memory Center, the Neuroscience Research Center, as well as the Spinal Surgery Service. It offers integrated and personalized care to patients suffering from diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system, from the brain to the muscle 👉 Visit the DNC webpage
As a member of the management of both departments, you assume responsibility for the entire HR area supported by a team of four people. You are a member of the management committee of both departments and regularly collaborate with the CHUV HR Management, particularly on complex cases, special mandates, and cross-functional projects.
Mission
As a strategic partner, you:
- Carry and implement the human resources policy and HR objectives of CHUV within the departments and services you are responsible for
- Advise and support all managers and employees regarding HR situations and decisions while ensuring effective and fair handling of cases within the regulatory framework
- Deploy and ensure the application of processes, tools, and directives in HR management (recruitment, onboarding, remuneration, training and development, working conditions, evaluation, mobility, termination of employment)
- Understand business challenges and support your management and managers in crucial projects such as the transformation of the HR function, absence management, change management, succession planning, employee retention, and the evolution of working conditions
- Analyze HR dashboards and propose corrective measures/solutions
- Collaborate and build strong and caring relationships with both internal and external partners as well as with specialized units of the HR Department
- Actively contribute to the collective dynamic of the management committee of both departments by promoting a common vision while ensuring balanced consideration and defense of the interests and specificities of both departments.

Profile
- Equipped with a solid professional background and about 10 years of experience in responsible HR positions
- University degree or equivalent and specialized training in HR
- Successful experience in team management
- Knowledge of the healthcare and/or hospital environment and its challenges is an asset
- Willingness to actively contribute to the transformation of the CHUV HR function and having already operationalized significant HR projects
- Good knowledge of labor law and writing skills; able to solidly handle contentious cases with the CHUV HR Department and ensure compliance with the regulatory framework
- A good listener, dialoguer, and networker, you excel in conflict management and are able to reconcile different points of view, convince or influence assertively
- Committed, proactive, service-oriented personality
- Ability to arbitrate or decide with objectivity, fairness, balance, and pragmatism
- Able to interact agilely in a complex, multi-actor environment undergoing transformation and facing many challenges, especially in terms of change management
- Possessing analytical and synthesis skills.
