Swimming Instructor, 2h per week (excluding school holidays)
Diversi’Team is one of the 11 projects led by the French-speaking headquarters in the cantons of Vaud, Geneva, and Neuchâtel. It is an innovative integration project through sport, aimed at migrants in the Canton of Vaud who would like to practice a sport in a group. It offers them the opportunity to become members of a sports club to train regularly as a team. Through this connection, Diversi’Team supports integration and promotes living together, while encouraging sport and health.
To meet the demand of many women to practice swimming in a women-only setting, Diversi’Team is launching a new women's swimming offer in Ollon (VD). To teach the swimming class and supervise the pools on Saturdays from 2 pm to 4 pm, Diversi’Team is looking, immediately or by agreement, for a
Your main responsibilities:
•Professionally ensure the supervision of the public in the pool and the swimming facilities
•Teach swimming classes to beginner women
•Prevent accidents and intervene if necessary with first aid measures
•Open and close the swimming pool
•Contact with the project team to set objectives and for monitoring
Your assets and skills:
•Minimum age of 18 years
•Holder of the Pro Pool Certificate from the Swiss Lifesaving Society (SSS) and BLS-AED certificate or equivalent up to date. Possibility of funding the Pro Pool training if you already hold the Plus Pool.
•Experience teaching swimming to beginners
•Availability on Saturday afternoons from 2 pm to 4 pm
•Good knowledge of French and English. Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
•Strong interest in asylum, migration, and integration issues
•Sensitivity to gender issues in sport
