The terms of reference include:
The assistant has 50% of the activity rate for the preparation of a doctoral thesis.
Master's students in law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva may also apply, provided they have already obtained 240 ECTS credits and their diploma thesis is about to be completed.
Preferably a native French speaker, the assistant must have excellent knowledge of English; a basic knowledge of legal German is desirable.

The candidate will be hired on a two-year contract which may be renewed for two successive periods, respectively of two years and one year. The maximum duration of the assistant position is five years. The first year constitutes a probationary period during which the employment relationship may be terminated subject to a notice period of 3 months to the end of a month.

Job description
Supervision tasks for students and research in the field of private international law.The terms of reference include:
- tasks related to the teaching of ' International Commercial Litigation ' (master) and ' Family in Private International Law ' (master) as well as the seminar on ' International Child Protection '. Updating course materials, answering students' questions related to the subjects taught, supervising the work of students enrolled in the seminar, participating as a juror in oral exams.
- Research, proofreading, editorial work.
- Usual administrative tasks.

Required degree and skills
University master's degree in law from a Swiss university, with an excellent overall grade.Master's students in law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva may also apply, provided they have already obtained 240 ECTS credits and their diploma thesis is about to be completed.
