Materials or Mechanical Engineer
Work location: Sion
Your mission:
You provide technical support for the execution of specialized maintenance tasks and carry out study and renewal projects in the fields of mechanics related to hydropower. Within the unit and in collaboration with other engineers, you perform tasks and provide technical support in the field of boiler making and metal construction.
Your responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for the maintenance managers of the various hydropower facilities
- Develop and implement technical solutions within the framework of projects, both small and large, for the rehabilitation of hydropower installations
- Budget the work to be done, prepare offers, and provide technical support
- Manage projects, respecting costs, deadlines, and quality
- Organize and coordinate supplier interventions, in collaboration with the maintenance managers of the various sites
- Participate in installation diagnostics and serviceability assessments
- Participate in activities related to the refurbishment of anticorrosion protections of hydropower structures of penstocks
- Keep the technical documentation of the facilities up to date
Your skills:
- EPF or HES engineer in materials science, or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in industry, including 3 years in hydropower is an asset
- Experience in the field of materials (selection, characteristics, compatibility, serviceability assessment, risk analysis)
- Experience in anticorrosion would be an asset
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Autonomy, analytical and synthesis skills
- Native German or French speaker with very good knowledge of the other language
