Job summary
The psychological service is a support center for employees of the Bern cantonal police. It offers selection, training, and counseling services.
Tasks
- Provide counseling for French-speaking police members and crisis intervention.
- Conduct training for French-speaking recruits at the Police School in Ittigen.
- Organize internal seminars and contribute to selection processes.
Skills
- Master's degree in psychology or equivalent, preferably in work and organizational psychology.
- Strong social skills and an open, communicative personality.
- Experience in psychological training and counseling is ideal.

About the job
The psychological service is an internal contact point for employees of the Bern Cantonal Police and offers various services such as selection, training, and counseling.
Your tasks
- Counseling and support for French-speaking corps members (individuals and groups) as well as deployment in emergency psychology
- Teaching activities in the training of French-speaking candidates at the École de Police in Ittigen, including the creation of exams and participation in the federal professional examination
- Conducting internal corps seminars as well as training and further education
- Participation in the selection of candidates for the École de Police and, if possible, also for German-speaking police students and security assistants
- Conceptual work as well as participation in projects
Your profile
- Completed master's degree in psychology or equivalent qualification, preferably with a focus on work and organizational psychology or clinical psychology
- Interest in police work
- High social competence as well as an open and communicative personality
- Ideally experience in psychological training and counseling
- Due to the tasks in the French-speaking area, native French language and very good German skills are required for this position
