Foodstuffs Inspector

For the Office for Food Safety and Animal Health, we are looking immediately or by agreement for a foodstuffs inspector.
Tasks
- Implementation of federal foodstuffs legislation in one of the six control districts of Graubünden (Grisons Rhine Valley, Prättigau and Lenzerheide)
- Conducting inspections at companies active in the foodstuffs and consumer goods sector
- Preparation of reports and decisions
- Sampling official samples within the framework of analysis campaigns
- Contact with persons subject to the law
- Providing information on legal issues regarding foodstuffs
What we expect from you
- Federal diploma for official foodstuffs control or completed basic vocational training with three years of professional experience in the foodstuffs sector or equivalent higher vocational training as a prerequisite for obtaining the diploma
- Excellent knowledge of German in spoken and written form; knowledge of Italian is an advantage
- Convincing communication skills, ability to cope with stressful situations, autonomy, and good organization
- Good physical condition to move even on difficult terrain
- Familiarity with the use of modern IT tools
- Category B driving license
