1. Job description
As Co-Head alongside two other chief physicians, you share the management of a multidisciplinary department active 24/7. You work within a "human-sized" structure (1200 employees) while managing critical flows related to the Emergency Department and the Neurovascular Unit. The department is a reference center, notably certified by the Foundation for Breast Cancer Screening.
Your missions:
- Strategic and operational management of the department: Co-organize schedules and reading processes to ensure optimal responsiveness (e.g., maintaining the turnaround time for CT scan reports for vital emergencies under 30 minutes).
- Clinical expertise and supervision: Ensure the interpretation of complex examinations and the supervision of physicians in training.
- Development of multidisciplinary collaboration: Engage in inter-departmental collaboration and develop partnerships within the hospital and with regional physicians. Lead interdisciplinary meetings to strengthen care pathways (e.g., weekly participation in Tumorboards for personalized oncology care).
- Modernization and technological innovation: Evaluate and propose new imaging solutions to keep the department at the forefront.
2. Required profile
- Proven managerial experience: Experience as a senior physician within a Swiss hospital structure or equivalent, involved in clinical coordination, supervision of assistants, and organization of department operations.
- Technical expertise: Advanced mastery in emergency diagnostic radiology, neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, and interventional radiology.
- Interpersonal skills: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams (physicians, radiology technologists, nursing and administrative staff).
- Experience in a Swiss University Hospital, with at least 2 years as a senior resident.
- Cantonal practice license (Vaud) required.
3. Education level
- Federal specialist title (FMH) in radiology or foreign title recognized by the FMH.
- At least two advanced trainings in osteoarticular imaging, diagnostic neuroradiology, and emergency radiology with a title obtained or in progress.
- Additional training in hospital management (such as Health Institution Management) obtained, in progress, or desired is a major asset.
4. Benefits
- Exceptional working environment on the Lake Geneva coast.
- Active support for continuing education and facilitated participation in conferences.
- Participation in the governance of a private institution recognized as being of public interest.
- Valued work-life balance.
- Attractive remuneration policy.
