Autocross, Cross Car and Hill Climb Sporting Trainee (Geneva - Switzerland)
Join the FIA and the Road Sport Department, which is responsible for the coordination and sporting administration of key European off-road and hill climb championships, supporting organisers, federations and competitors across Europe through regulatory oversight and operational support.
We are looking for a motivated and highly organised Autocross, Cross Car and Hill Climb Sporting Trainee to provide administrative and organisational support to the European Autocross and Cross Car Championships, the European Hill Climb Championship, as well as to FIA commissions and award ceremonies. You will report directly to the Sporting Coordinator under the authority of the Road Sport Director and work in a fast-paced, international sporting environment.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
CHAMPIONSHIPS COORDINATION
- Sending official documents for competitions and tracking their receipt and completion by organisers and national federations.
- Monitoring championship registration platforms and following up on entry lists with relevant stakeholders.
- Tracking the issuance and approval of insurance policies for competitions.
- Managing and archiving documents and files that must be submitted by organisers after events.
- Providing administrative support for the day-to-day management of the championships.
DOCUMENT UPDATING AND PUBLISHING
- Reviewing and publishing official results on the FIA website.
- Posting documents on official notice boards for the championships.
- Uploading images and documents within the relevant categories and platforms.
SEASON OPENING AND CLOSING SUPPORT
- Supporting the coordination of award ceremonies, including trophy orders.
- Preparing documents related to regulatory updates.
- Supporting the creation and distribution of documentation for organisers and federations at the start of the season.
SUPPORT FOR FIA COMMISSIONS
- Assisting the Manager of the Off-Road and Hill Climb Commissions.
- Coordinating logistics for commission meetings and preparing related documents such as agendas, dossiers and minutes.
- Supporting coordination and information flow with other FIA departments.
PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s degree in sports management, business management, law or equivalent.
- An internship agreement is mandatory for the full 12-month duration.
- Proven experience working with external stakeholders in fast-paced, multi-project environments.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other departments.
- Strong communication skills with competitors, organisers and federations.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise urgent matters and work under pressure while maintaining a high level of organisation.
- Proficiency in creating and reviewing documents with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).
- Experience working with Adobe tools such as Acrobat and InDesign is a plus.
