The Riviera-Chablais Hospital, Vaud-Valais (HRC), is an inter-cantonal reference hospital, bringing together more than 2,000 collaborators. The Rennaz Hospital Center has more than 350 acute care beds. It is complemented by two Geriatrics and Rehabilitation Clinics as well as two medical on-call services. All collaborators invest daily to provide quality care to patients, embodying the institution's values: authenticity, exemplarity, and innovation.
The Gynecology-Obstetrics Service has a modern infrastructure offering optimal and cutting-edge patient care. From hospital stay planning to return home, it collaborates with various partners as needed: neonatologists, pediatricians, anesthetists, physiotherapists, oncologists, general practitioners, sexual health counselors, independent midwives, early childhood nurses, the PROFA Perinatal Counseling (team of midwives, counselors, and social workers), the SIPE Federation of centers and the Haut-Léman Health Network.
The main missions of this position are
Your main mission will be to define and implement an innovative service project, placing patient care and quality of care at the center of attention, as well as ensuring efficient management of the service.
Your responsibilities:
- Ensure the operation, management, and development of the service
- Supervise and lead the service and its governance and coordination bodies
- Be the internal and external medical reference interlocutor of the service
- Coordinate inter-service collaborations and exchanges with medical management
- Develop links between the service and practicing physicians
- Promote the development of a dynamic and harmonious work climate, conducive to internal mobilization and performance
- Assume medical activity as head physician
We require
- A federal medical diploma or a diploma issued by an EU member state and recognized by the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO)
- A specialist title in gynecology and obstetrics, as well as advanced training in operative gynecology-obstetrics
- A certificate in hospital management/administration or proven experience in managing a service or a large team
- A participative leadership style enabling the development of a service vision, uniting internal and external actors
- Ability to promote, lead, and support change
- A sense of responsibility and skills especially in leadership, communication, and negotiation
