Within the Systems team, composed of 10 multidisciplinary engineers, you will play a central role in maintaining, evolving, and transforming the IT infrastructure.
You will mainly work on the Microsoft ecosystem – notably Active Directory, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and Exchange – ensuring the application of best practices, architectural coherence, as well as the standardization, simplification, and automation of environments.
Although your expertise will be focused on Microsoft technologies, you will also be involved in other technical areas such as virtualization, storage, and Linux environments, in a spirit of interdisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
1. Standardization, automation, and evolution of the IT system
- Actively participate in the standardization of system environments and the implementation of best practices across the Microsoft perimeter.
- Design and deploy solutions aimed at simplifying infrastructure operations and automating recurring tasks (via PowerShell, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, OpCon, etc.).
- Contribute to the industrialization of system management processes, aligned with objectives of reliability, security, performance, and complexity reduction.
- Ensure the operational maintenance of systems while anticipating necessary evolutions to adapt them to future needs.
- Participate in technological watch and propose relevant evolutions to advance the technical environment, particularly in terms of simplification and automation.
2. Infrastructure management
- Collaborate in managing the datacenter and associated equipment (servers, storage, virtualization, etc.).
- Install and configure servers according to established procedures and FHVi best practices.
- Manage the lifecycle of Microsoft ecosystem components: update planning, version upgrades, service renewals, decommissioning obsolete systems.
- Supervise systems via monitoring tools and ensure infrastructure resilience and security.
3. Support & documentation
- Provide level 2 and 3 support, linked to requests and incidents reported via the service management tool.
- Document procedures, configurations, and best practices to ensure knowledge sustainability within the team.
- Participate in the on-call service according to current arrangements.
Requirements
Education and experience
- Higher education in computer science (Bachelor or Master), or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a systems engineer or in a similar role, ideally in a complex and multi-site environment.
Technical skills
- Mastery of the Microsoft ecosystem: Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, PKI, WSUS, RDS farms, PowerShell
- Strong experience in automation and industrialization: OpCon, Terraform, Puppet, Powershell, Ansible
- Knowledge of virtualization: VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, cluster and resource management
- Experience in infrastructure monitoring with tools such as Zabbix (deployment, configuration, proactive supervision)
- Knowledge of Linux environments: administration, scripting, integration into heterogeneous infrastructures
- Knowledge of backup solutions: Veeam Backup & Replication, restoration strategies, DRP/BCP
- Good knowledge of complex architectures: high availability, active-active datacenter, security by design, load balancer, NAS/SAN storage, firewall, scheduler, networks, SSO, monitoring, VPN, messaging
- Professional certifications: holding certifications (Microsoft, VMware, etc.) is an asset.
